Adeyemi Yusuf was born on the 13th day of October a little over two decades ago (from the year of this post) and has thus far been contributing to humanity
Early Life and Education
Born in Iwo to a middle classed couple; Mr and Mrs Lukman, Suliata Adeyemi of Akinola compound Oke-Adan Iwo.
Adeyemi Yusuf is the first of five. He started his educational sojourn with Vico Hope Nursery and Primary School before he then proceeded to Iwo Grammar School.
While in primary school, he was among the best pupils academically. He served as the football captain and was also the health prefect.
In secondary school, he continued to be seen as a person that should shoulder others’ responsibility and was appointed the health prefect yet again.
His admission into university was stalled for a year after his secondary schooling. That time, he spent doing OAU-IFE Pre-Degree program at Moro campus. As a student there, he joined a pure water distribution chain unconsciously amassing human relations skills. He said he only did it because he got to move around and know the suburbs better.
As expected, he gained admission to study Pharmacy upon the completion of the Pre-Degree program. After becoming an OAU-IFE Pharmacy School Pansite, Adeyemi Yusuf managed to:
1. Do business:
He sold mattress to Pre-Degree students for two consecutive years, and also sold textbooks to his fellow University students. At some point, he went into sales of male footwear especially to students of the college of health sciences as many of the college boys were his friends.
2. Do Politics:
A. Student Union: he was an active member of the then OAUIFE Students’ Union. He served as the PRO of welfare committee 2014/15 administrative session and also served as one of the electoral commissioners in the 2015/2016 session
B. Rotaract: He joined this philanthropic organisation in his third year on Ife campus. And in 2015/2016, he joined the board of directors of the club as the Project Director of the club in which he made some landmark achievement in that capacity.
C. FILSU: He was the PRO of this association in 2013/2014. And went on to be the Financial Secretary in 2014/2015.
In 2015/2016 session, he served as the chairman of fund raising committee in the association.
D. Faculty of Pharmacy: After serving as an electoral commissioner of OAU-IFE students’ union in 2016, Adeyemi Yusuf contested for the office of the president of his Faculty, Pharmacy. He declared his intention to run barely two weeks into the day of election and by people and grass roots politics mastery, he still managed to emerge victorious.
Adeyemi Yusuf served as the president of the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students in the year 2017.
Adeyemi currently resides in Ibadan and is in a serious relationship with his long time friend, Rouqayat who they had met as undergraduates in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
MISTIRAL; be remembered.
